Are You Tired of Wandering in the Wilderness?

“Then we turned back and set out toward the wilderness along the route to the Red Sea, as the Lord had directed me. For a long time we made our way around the hill country of Seir. Then the Lord said to me, “You have made your way around this hill country long enough; now turn north.” – Deuteronomy 2: 1-3

Can you imagine wandering the desert for 40 long years — basically just going around in circles? Most people would say they couldn’t Iast one week, let alone 40 years, however many people are doing just that… they just don’t know it. Just like the children of Israel, they are in a perpetual state of being lost and adrift. And regardless of their circumstances, they are reluctant to make a change in the

course of their lives so that they can experience all of the blessings that God has in store for them. They are stuck in a wilderness of their own making.

I see it every day. People are wandering around in their marriages, their job, their spirituality. They are basically calling it in and just keeping their heads above the water.

Yet, God said it then, and it still holds true today: “It’s time to change your circumstances!” It’s time to change your direction and create a new plan of action. It’s time to realize that a change will be good for you!

Does anybody need a change of scenery in their:

*finances? *career? *health? *family? *personal life? *relationship with God?

If so, stop wandering aimlessly. Jesus is ready to deliver whatever you need because He has already been there. He has encountered anything and everything you have ever encountered or will ever encounter. He already took care of it on the cross. He has already given you the roadmap out of the desert. It’s time to take him up on the offer and follow him out of your personal wilderness by praying this prayer: “I Am ready to make the changes necessary in my life that the Lord wants me to so I can walk in and enjoy the abundant life and good things He has promised me.”
