Be His Valentine

The Bible is one long Valentine to you from God. Here are just a few examples of what I mean:

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (1 John 3:1)

Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:2-5)

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. (Psalm 103:8)

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:17-19)

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 15:13)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
