Do People Know Who You Follow?
Being in marketing, I understand the merit of Social Media. It has become the central hub where people access their news, see how their friends and family are doing, gain information on what they should and shouldn’t like, and now, what they should or shouldn’t buy. There are billions of people throughout the world active on Facebook and Twitter. That’s one huge community! And for better or for worse, I’m one of them. And with those types of numbers, I’m pretty sure you are too.
So, if God had a Facebook account, would you be one of his friends? What would you post on his wall? And more importantly, would you feel comfortable sharing His messages with others? Each of us has a powerful tool, with Facebook and Twitter at our fingertips, to share how God touches our lives daily. Are we really using it to its full potential?
Think of it this way, when you or I became a Christian, we followed someone, right? Maybe it was a teacher, a preacher, your mom or dad, or your grandparents, but someone influenced you for Christ. Someone you believed was touched by the hand of God. You followed someone to Jesus.
Now, it’s your turn to have someone follow you.
Over the next week, I encourage you to share something about God’s work in your life on Facebook. It doesn’t have to be long or heavy-handed, but it does need to be honest. Do this and know that this one small message may be the tipping point someone needed to find Christ.
DECLARE HIS GLORY AMONG THE NATIONS, HIS MARVELOUS DEEDS AMONG ALL PEOPLES.
