Have you ever been in a relationship, whether business or personal, and were overwhelmed with trust issues? Whether those red flags were real or imagined they left a mark on you! Ultimately these trust issues can make it more difficult to trust God.
The Bible fills us in on the character of God throughout, here are some main points to help you confirm your trust in the Lord:
But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved. -Ephesians 2:4-5
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. -James 1:17
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you. – Psalm 84:11-12
being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:6
We all need a reminder of the goodness of God, especially in this dark world. Underline the above verses in your Bible and post them around your home and work place to remind you. Hold fast to the Word of God and surrender your trust to Him, He will not disappoint you!
IN YOU, LORD MY GOD, I PUT MY TRUST. I TRUST IN YOU; DO NOT LET ME BE PUT TO SHAME, NOR LET MY ENEMIES TRIUMPH OVER ME. NO ONE WHO HOPES IN YOU WILL EVER BE PUT TO SHAME, BUT SHAME WILL COME ON THOSE WHO ARE TREACHEROUS WITHOUT CAUSE. SHOW E YOUR WAYS, LORD, TEACH ME YOUR PATHS. GUIDE ME IN YOUR TRUTH AND TEACH ME, FOR YOU ARE GOD MY SAVIOR, AND MY HOPE IS IN YOU ALL DAY LONG.
