Psalm 1:1-3 says, “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers.”

This passage reminds us of the importance of seeking after God and His ways, and of the blessings that come to those who do. Here are some thoughts on how we can apply this passage in our lives:

1. Avoid negative influences: The passage warns us against walking in step with the wicked or sitting in the company of mockers. This means that we need to be careful about the people we spend time with and the activities we engage in. We should avoid those who would lead us astray or bring us down, and instead seek out positive influences and experiences that will help us grow and thrive.
