Engraved Upon His Hands
“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”
Isaiah 49:16
This verse in Isaiah is such a powerful reminder of God’s love and care for us. He has engraved us on the palms of His hands. This verse is an immediate reminder of the nailed scared hands of Jesus, our savior. His love for us held Him to the cross and then by God’s power Jesus was raised on the third day, conquering the grave! Such love proves to us that we are constantly on His mind, He never forgets us.
The image of God’s hands carrying us and our walls always before Him reminds us that He is our protector and provider. We can trust in His faithfulness, even when we don’t understand the circumstances of our lives.
Remember that we are called to be faithful to God, just as He is faithful to us. We can do this by reading His Word, praying, and seeking to live in a way that honors Him.
Let us be encouraged by the fact that we are always on God’s mind and in His heart. May we trust in His love and care for us, and seek to live faithfully for Him.
Let’s Pray: Dear God, we thank You for Your love and care for us. We are grateful that You have engraved us on the palms of Your hands, and that we are always on Your mind. Help us to trust in Your faithfulness, even when we don’t understand the circumstances of our lives. May Your Word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, and may we seek to live in a way that honors You. We pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
