Grace Endless Grace
In the passage from John below, we learn that God’s grace exceeds our sin and our guilt. It is endless Grace!
John 1:16 states, “Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.” The expression here denotes that there is in Jesus Christ the fullness of the Godhead which in turn provides the inexhaustible supply of grace -grace in place of grace. God’s grace to His people is continuous and is never exhausted. Grace knows no interruption and no limit.
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”-John 1:14-17
Forgiveness is our first deep drink of the cup of the grace of God. Many imagine they have hit the bottom of the cup with that first sip. “Thank You, Lord, I needed that forgiveness! “This cannot be further from the truth. That is but the first gulp out of an ocean of grace. Do not relegate the grace of God only to forgiveness. It is grace upon grace. The grace of God is far more than merely forgiveness (as good as it is!).
- Grace for growing.
- Grace for maturing.
- Grace for serving.
- Grace for becoming more and more like the Lord Jesus Christ.
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18
Do not set aside for a moment the full beauty of the grace of God. It is through the grace of God that the righteous life of Christ becomes more and more our portion and our walk. Choose to live each and every moment in God’s grace!
DO NOT CONFORM TO THE PATTERN OF THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND.
THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TEST AND APPROVE WHAT GOD’S WILL IS – HIS GOOD, PLEASING WILL.
