Grace: Multifaceted
God’s gift of grace is multifaceted. As grace works in our lives, multiple outcomes are produced. In Romans 5 we are told that we have gained access to our Lord Jesus Christ by faith into his grace. The chapter goes on to state that grace brings:
- v. 2 – Hope of the glory of God
- v. 3 – The Holy Spirit who has been given to us
- v. 9 – Salvation from God’s wrath
- v. 11 – Reconciliation to God
- v. 16 – Justification
- v. 19 – Through justification, righteousness in God’s eyes
- v. 21 – Eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord
“For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14
Grace is God’s plan and God’s provision to keep sin from dominating our lives. It is God’s ongoing gift. It is not an increased focus on the law that keeps sin from dominating our lives; but as we read, “…sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.” That is what we should all want. By His grace, God provides a way for sin to have less and less of a grip on your life and mine.

“BUT THE GIFT IS NOT LIKE THE TRESPASS. FOR IF THE MANY DIED BY THE TRESPASS OF THE ONE MAN, HOW MUCH MORE DID GOD’S GRACE
AND THE GIFT THAT CAME BY THE GRACE OF THE ONE MAN, JESUS CHRIST, OVERFLOW TO THE MANY!”
