Your Daily Dose of Boldness – Live Worthy

Live Worthy

“As a prisoner of the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

Ephesians 4;1-3

This passage encourages us to live a life worthy of the calling we have received in Christ. It calls us to be humble, gentle, patient, and to strive for unity in the body of Christ.

Here are some practical bullet points for applying the principles of this passage in our daily lives:

  • Live a life worthy of your calling: As followers of Christ, we are called to live a life that reflects our faith in Him. We should strive to be people of integrity, character, and compassion, seeking to honor God in all that we do.
  • Practice humility: Humility is an essential characteristic of a follower of Christ. It means putting others before ourselves, recognizing our own limitations and weaknesses, and acknowledging our need for God’s grace and mercy in our lives.
  • Cultivate gentleness: Gentleness means being kind, gracious, and compassionate towards others. It means treating others with respect and dignity, even in difficult or challenging situations.
  • Be patient: Patience is a virtue that is essential for building strong relationships and for enduring difficult circumstances. It means being willing to wait, to persevere, and to trust in God’s timing and plan for our lives.
  • Bear with one another in love: Loving one another means being willing to forgive, to show grace and mercy, and to extend compassion and kindness to others, even when it is difficult or costly.
  • Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit: Unity is essential for the body of Christ to function effectively. It means working together, building strong relationships, and pursuing common goals and objectives in a spirit of peace and cooperation.

As we seek to live out the principles of Ephesians 4:1-3 in our daily lives, let us remember that we are called to live a life that is worthy of our calling in Christ. Let us strive to be people of humility, gentleness, and patience, seeking to build strong relationships and pursue unity in the body of Christ. And let us rely on God’s grace and mercy to help us live out these principles in our daily lives.
