Living Connected to God
I’ve been thinking a lot about “connections” lately. Being a businessman, I understand the profound value of the statement, “It’s who you know, not what you know that counts.” Although this is true in the professional realm, you can draw a direct correlation of this statement to the spiritual realm too.
If you are genuinely connected to God, it won’t matter what you do or don’t know because your pathway in life will be more apparent. Unfortunately, too many of us, myself included, allow our connection with God and other Christians to become overrun by life. We wake up, hurry through our morning rituals of getting ready: listening to the news, eating breakfast, and getting the kids to school. When we arrive, harried, to work, we jump into the income-producing tasks that range from “putting out fires” and brainstorming to coming up with new products and campaigns. After work, we hurry home to dinner, sports games, church meetings, and the precious little family time that’s left over. Then at night, we greet our beds with feelings of relief and utter fatigue. Phew, another day is finally over!
No time during this frantic schedule does our connection to God fit into the equation. In today’s world, there is just no time for God.
However, I find that when my wife and I pause and make room for God, our pathway and choices are apparent. There is a sudden peace in our marriage and home.
It’s only when we are Living Connected to God, that everything else falls into place and makes sense. It’s true, what you know means very little in the long run and means even less still when you don’t have God in your everyday life. It’s the Who you know that will make the most significant difference of all.
I pray that this collection of messages will help you Live Connected to God each day!

REMAIN IN ME, AS I ALSO REMAIN IN YOU. NO BRANCH CAN BEAR FRUIT BY ITSELF; IT MUST REMAIN IN THE VINE. NEITHER CAN YOU BEAR FRUIT UNLESS YOU REMAIN IN ME. “I AM THE VINE; YOU ARE THE BRANCHES. IF YOU REMAIN IN ME AND I IN YOU, YOU WILL BEAR MUCH FRUIT; APART FROM ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING.
