Strong and Courageous
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
There are days that this world can leave us feeling weak and timid! This verse reminds us that we can have strength and courage in difficult situations because God is always with us. We do not need to fear or be intimidated by the challenges we face because we know that God is faithful and will never abandon us.
- Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
- Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
- Matthew 28:20 – “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We can apply this verse in our lives by trusting in God’s presence and relying on Him for strength and courage. When we face challenges or difficulties, we can turn to God in prayer and seek His guidance and support. We can also encourage others who may be struggling by reminding them of God’s faithfulness and presence in their lives.
Prayer: Dear God, thank you for your promise to never leave us or forsake us. Help us to have strength and courage in difficult situations, knowing that you are always with us. Give us the wisdom to trust in your guidance and to seek your support when we face challenges. Help us to be a source of encouragement and hope to others, reminding them of your faithfulness and presence in their lives. Amen.
