When Faith Sees No Results
Have you ever prayed so fervently for something that never materialized? Isn’t that the most frustrating thing in the world? You poured out your heart and soul into your request only to have your faith challenged by unanswered prayer. When our faith doesn’t see results, it challenges the very core of what we believe.
I’ve seen this happen many times before. I’ve also seen a seemingly “unanswered” prayer crumble the very foundation of someone’s faith and desire to commune with God. Yet did you know that all prayers are answered… just not always in the way you expected?
When the real estate market crashed, God’s answer to my prayers for financial salvation was to move my family and start over in Spokane. This was not the answer that I wanted to hear, so I ignored it and stayed put. When you ignore God, you’ll find that He speaks even louder. My business floundered. I had to close shop and move my remaining employees to the basement of my home in Draper. Notice I stayed in Salt Lake City. God’s voice became louder and my bank account became leaner—I had no choice but to move back to Spokane into a smaller home and begin again.
But guess what? Little by little my prayers were answered. My business began to grow again, I made strategic alliances with like-minded Christians, and I started He’s the Solution Ministries. I was in the right environment for growth and change because it was where God wanted me to be. And because I finally opened my eyes and ears, I could see and hear the answer to my prayers.
If I had prayed as Job had prayed: “Teach me what I cannot see” (Job 34:32), I would have had an answer immediately. There is a purpose in everything we go through, and there is always an answer to our prayers, if we’re ready and willing to see and hear it.
God is always answering your prayers. You just need to make sure you’re open to see not what you want, but what God wants for you!
TEACH ME WHAT I CANNOT SEE; IF I HAVE DONE WRONG, I WILL NOT DO SO AGAIN.
