Who is Your Shepherd?
If you know me well, you know that I’m a huge proponent of mentorship. I believe that others’ knowledge and experiences can help further you in your professional and life goals. But what about your spiritual goals? In today’s world, we’re up against many challenges to our faith. Our lives, in general, are often jam-packed with everything but the Divine. So, when it comes down to it, a Christian Mentor would be beneficial in keeping you centered and focused on your core beliefs.
You can find mentors in your Church Family, in Christian authors like Max Lucado, Joel Osteen, John MacArthur, and Billy Graham, and last, but not least, you can find a mentor in God via prayer and the Bible.
Here are three Mentorship Techniques that will help you going forward:
Build a cadre of Christians you can turn to for advice when you need it
Nurture relationships with people whose perspectives you respect and trust
Think of mentoring as both a give-and-take relationship. You too are helping others by mentoring through example and faith
By fostering a fellowship with others in God, you begin to get a better picture of God’s purpose. Each of us has a unique perspective and each of us needs to grow in Christ continually. As you well know, our journey to knowing God will never be fully complete on this Earth. Our growth spurts will never end, and our faith will continually be challenged. Having a support network to guide you in your Christian development, while also helping you through your trials is the best way to succeed.
I pray that He’s The Solution can offer you some of that support and mentorship in God. In return, your knowledge and perspective will also guide and support me. I thank you in advance for that!
