Can you imagine being grateful in all circumstances? It’s tough to do, even when you know God is with you every step of the way.
This year, there have been many instances where having an attitude of gratitude was especially challenging, and praising God was incredibly difficult. What Jaclyn and I discovered was the lesson and blessing in everything we encountered. Our continual praise of God and his blessings inspired us to stay the course, enjoy the good, and find knowledge and lessons in the challenges. Although we were never perfect at it, the exercise gave us the strength necessary to come out on the other side.
What I have learned in all this is that God provides. He provided us with food and shelter. He provided us with perseverance and love. He provided us with healthy, funny, and creative children who always surprise us in their aptitude for learning. He provided us with a group of wonderful, creative, and loyal employees who have lightened our load and kept our focus on our clients. He provided us with clients who continue to amaze us with their dedication and commitment to education and success. He provided us with each other. Jaclyn is truly my helpmate, my partner, and my better half. Her presence at home and work is a steadying and wondrous one.
So, even though we have spent many a moment in prayer for our home, company, and clients, we have spent just as much time praising God for ALL circumstances, good and bad, and ALL blessings, big and small.
